You know something is wrong with our food in North America when the strawberries have reached the size of a large egg. I bought both these items from the same chain supermarket, Metro. We need a food revolution, and soon!

Time travel.
I came across this photo on Pinterest. I’m not sure how I feel about it though. What do you think? This girl must be around 7-years old but she has the “vibe” of a 22-year old. Her stance, her haircut, her fancy scarf and the all-black attire looks straight out of something you’d see on a street style blog on ELLE.
Is it good to teach your child fashion sense and good clothing taste? Yes. But what is a good amount and how early on? I already feel like childhoods are getting shorter and shorter as it is. Children grow up too fast. I miss my childhood a lot, and I look back with a smile, remembering running through fields, finding doves in the attic, playing in the garden with my brother… This girl, on the other hand, she’s gonna remember playing with her iPhone and maybe writing her next novel in the fancy Moleskin notebook she’s probably got hidden in her pocket haha! Jokes, jokes :)
But seriously… While I am all pro good style, one has to consider the implications of establishing that kind of relationship with your outer image at such an early age.
Anna Schuleit, from the installation Bloom (2003) Very beautiful and touching idea.

My favs from Milan so far. Just Cavalli S/S2011.
I don’t know what it is about a feather that I find so beautiful. Weather it’s a light, fragile white feather, a strong, dark gray and brown goose one, or a delicate and intricate peacock one, I find them all amazing. I love drawing feathers and I like to sneak them in my drawings from time to time in the way Dali throws watches and ants in his pieces.
I bought this ring from Aldo today. Feathers are definitely in this season particularly in the jewelry department. They are attached to necklaces and earrings alike everywhere. This ring stood out to me because it’s so simple - it’s just one feather, yet the lines are intricate and have movement. This ring marries the delicacy and strength of feathers through material and execution and I’m very excited that I found it and it only cost me $6 :)
This boy inspires me so much. I wish I created as much as he does, especially at that age (I think he’s like 17 or something now). His images are so pure, so raw. Uncensored self expression. So vulnerable. So varied. I wish I could talk to him. I wish I could ask him where does he find so much inspiration. What about his life gives him so much drive to create so much, and at such quality. All his images are amazing. Every one of them is meaningful, unique, tells a story. I wish I had that in me. Maybe I do. I think I do, I just don’t know how to channel it. Maybe if I keep looking at his work, I’ll figure it out… Dream on…
Check him out here (seriously, DO IT!)
